Currently, Children’s Psychological Services offers:

Assessments help in determining the true cause of an underlying problem which impacts one’s ability to function; whether it’s related to mood (i.e., excessive worry, withdrawal from others, fear of being in public), remembering things (i.e., memory difficulties), learning new material (i.e., at school or at work), and/or general difficulties in social, personal and work relationships.

Additionally, evaluations serve as legal documents which provide individuals with the ability to apply for public service support, personal guidance (i.e., various types of therapy) and in some cases, special education services. Moreover, assessments are valuable in providing treatment providers with the in-depth data, unique to the individual, that allows them to learn about subtle differences which may have occurred during their development; differences that are otherwise hard to evaluate or assess in a regular appointment.
